Beginning March

Two months into 2010, and no books finished. I've scanned a few but haven't actually finished again, shamefully. But I've started Gail Carriger's Soulless (book one of The Parasol Protectorate) and I am wildly in love.

Carriger's writing is brisk, sharp, and funny; our heroine, Alexia, is fantastic. The world-building is effortless -- I feel like I understand the world Alexia lives in, even though it's wildly different from our own. Two more days of commuting, and I'm sure I'll be finished. Full review then!
