The Singer's Gun by Emily St. John Mandel
Rain Village by Carolyn Turgeon
Drood by Dan Simmons

  1. I would like to read the Marie A book, but since I know how it all ends :( Sad

    Anyway enjoy your books!

  2. Another great mailbox this week, Audra.

I can't wait for your review of Becoming Marie Antoinette.

  3. Looks like you have some great books. Breath and Bones by Susann Cokal sounds goof. I've read parts of's a long one.

  4. I also won the Marie Antoinette book. I am curious to see how we both end up feeling. I've had my eye on Drood for a bit, just never felt up to the task! Looks like a fun month for you, Audra :)

  5. I have a copy of Miss Timmins and am currently reading it, so I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it! I've also requested a copy of You're Just My Type for Tony since he's a graphic designer and will have tons to say about it, I'm sure. I'm very jealous of your copy of Henry Hill - I heard about it a few months ago and have been really intrigued by it.

  6. What great books! I just purchased Henry House myself. Can't wait to hear what you think. Such an interesting and controversial subject. Enjoy!

  7. These seem like some great reads! Thanks for sharing. I'd love if you'd check out my IMM too :)

Btw, I'm loving the blog. I'm not sure if we're fellow followers, but I follow you!

Looking forward to hearing back from you,
    Cory @ Anti-Drug Reads

  8. oh my! these are awesome

    here's mine

    p/s. I'm a new follower

  9. @Blodeuedd: I know -- but I love that era so much I keep torturing myself!

@Melissa: Doesn't it look great? I understand it's the first in a trilogy so I'm especially excited.

@Serena: I'm on the fence abt Dan Simmons books as I usually love the first half and hate the second, so we'll see if the pattern continues.

@Jessie: Can't wait to see your review -- this is a v promising start to my summer!

@Steph: Ooh, I hope Tony shares his thoughts -- I'm just an amateur font fan. I don't read a ton of nonfiction but this seemed to fun to pass up.

@Jenna: I'm really excited abt Henry House -- it looks so good!

@Cory: Thanks for the follow and the compliment. I'll be sure to stop by!

@Lisa: Thanks for the follow -- I'll be sure to pop by your blog!

  10. Oh, you got such great things this time around! I also have a copy of Drood that I haven't read yet, but am excited about it, and I have heard great things about Henry House as well. It sounds like you have a lot of great reading ahead of you!

  11. the only one i've read is The Singer's Gun and it was very good in a sad sort of way.

i love the cover for miss Timmins' School for Girls. it makes me want to pick it up even though i have no idea what it's about.

  12. I also received Becoming Marie Antoinette, so I'm really looking forward to your review of that one. Enjoy your new books!
