In My Mailbox, March 19

Seen both at Mailbox Monday -- hosted in March at Diary of an Eccentric -- and The Story Siren, my Mailbox Monday/In My Mailbox.  What did you get this week? Read any of these? I'm mixing up the format a little this week -- click the cover to learn more about the book. Do you like this format, or my previous format?

For Review

  1. The top 3 are new to me. I just realized Bastard Out of Carolina is set in my neck of the woods so I need to get hold of that one.

  2. I read Bastard Out of Carolina many years ago. It's a rivating, powerful and heart-wrenching book. The main character, a young girl, is fantastic and the writing is amazing. I felt a full range of emotions while reading this book and became uncomfortable, at times, but I couldn't put it down. I'm hoping you review this book because I'd love to know your thoughts on it!

I'm not familiar with the 3 book for review but I cannot wait to read your review of Love Fiercely. The setting is magnificent and the characters sound fascinating. I hope this is a good one!

I like this format, Audra, as well as the other one you've used. Enjoy reading your new books!

  3. All new to me, happy reading :)

  4. I've seen the movie Bastard out of Carolina a few times and have always wanted to read the book.

  5. Ok, the Blind Spy looks excellent, but its the third in the series...ARGH, how did I miss out on these...have you read the others?

  6. Audra the format is fantastic. I think it is an improvement. :)

  7. All new to me! enjoy them all.

  8. I'm loving the new format!

I'm a total sucker for both Russia and spy novels. :) Looks like I'll be hunting down copies of those Dryden books!

  9. I have heard that Bastard out of Carolina is a book that makes people so mad they could spit nails, and that's why I have a copy on my shelves too! Lots of neat books here! Enjoy your recent additions!
