May's Mailbox Monday is hosted at Martha’s Bookshelf. I think this week I got the most books ever in a week and I'm flabbergasted. My picture of the stack doesn't even include all the e-ARCs, obviously -- what a week! I feel like a kid at Christmas -- just giddy with delight. I don't even know where to start! What did you get this week? Read any of these? As usual, click a cover to learn more about the book (link will open in a new tab/window). Do you still like this format or is it getting too image heavy? Should I switch back to the list?
For Review

Wow this is a really great collection. Thanks for sharing and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI don't even know where to start! ;)
DeleteYou have got to be kidding me. Dying of jealousy over here! Also amazed by how gorgeous some of the book covers are.
ReplyDeleteI know -- I'm jealous of myself!! I really can't believe it -- not the amount nor the incredible eye-candy. I'm in heaven!
DeleteLOL I am so swamped with review books I think I would have a panic attack if I got all those books in one week ;)
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy them!
Most of these already have a scheduled review date so I'm not too anxious -- yet! ;)
DeleteLooks like you got some great books...Happy reading...I had a big week thanks to the book festival.
ReplyDeleteOooh, can't wait to hear about it -- will check your blog now!
DeleteWow - that's a very nice collection! It does look like book heaven. I just finished Age of Desire and Equal of the Sun, which were both good... and I loved Overseas.
ReplyDeleteEee, that makes me so excited to hear! I've heard nothing but good things for Overseas -- it seems like the perfect summer read!
DeleteJust when will you read all of these??? LOL Just jealous here:) They look great
ReplyDeleteThankfully most of these already have scheduled review dates so I won't be drowning (too much)! I'm basically jealous of myself -- I can't wait!
DeleteWhat a great haul! I just got Equal of the Sun, too. I've run across very little Middle Eastern historical fiction and can't wait to start it!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for Equal of the Sun -- it looks so good and I too haven't seen much Middle Eastern hist fic -- nummy!
DeleteHoly cow, what a week! It doesn't look like there's a stinker in the bunch either. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI know -- so much awesomeness -- I love summer reads -- they're always so good!
DeleteLooks like a lot of people have been buried by new books this week...must be something in the air!
ReplyDeleteI'll take whatever book karma this is! ;)
DeleteWow, I would not know where to start :)
ReplyDeleteThankfully, I've got a review schedule which helps me to figure out how to jump in! ;)
DeleteI'm absolutely drooling on my keyboard! What a great collection of books. Can't wait to read your reviews especially for The Age of Desire, Advent and Overseas. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteDon't those three sound so good?! I hate the cover of Overseas, though. But from the descriptions and reviews it seems great!
DeleteI prefer the images!
ReplyDeleteAs for the books, wow! What a great stack! Do you have a strategy to keeping up?
I try to schedule a review date for any book I accept for review -- even ones I get through NetGalley, I only request it if I'm willing to put in on my calendar for review. So that helps -- this is an ocean tide of books but most of them have scheduled review dates. Otherwise, they'd slip aside -- earlier this winter I took on a bunch of books w/o committing to a review date and they've gone unread and unreviewed as other things took priority.
DeleteSo jealous about the Alan Furst book! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI'm just about finished with Days of Splendor, Days of Sorrow. I'm not liking it as much as the first one but it's still pretty good. So many of these look good-I know I'll be adding a few to my WL! Can't wait for your reviews on all of these :)
ReplyDeleteI dont know which book I envy you over most!!!! such a fine selection of reading. Enjoy them all.
ReplyDeleteEep, what a stack. I always get excited about books in the post, but it's getting to the point that I'm completely overwhelmed! We all need an extra set of eyeballs, I think...
ReplyDeleteWow! You have some wonderful looking books there! I'm dying to read The People of Forever Are Not Afraid. Nicole Krauss picked it as a 5 Under 35 pick last year , and the buzz sounds amazing. I'll look forward to your thoughts on all of these!
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't wait to hear what you think of all of these! Especially Laura Lamont's Life in Pictures -- I loved Emma Straub's short story collection SO much. Lucky you (and lucky us)! :)
ReplyDeleteHoly cow! I'm so excited to read The Chaperone -- in fact, that might be my designated vacation book for the coming week. Hope you enjoy them all!
ReplyDeleteI got Equal of the Sun as well, but I'm really really jealous of Guest of Honor.
