Mailbox Monday, July 23
On-going summer of awesome: yet another week of fantastic arrivals! In our house, birthdays are to be celebrated for thirty days, so I'm just telling myself it's the pub world helping me to celebrate! ;) This week's Mailbox Monday (hosted in July at Mrs. Q: Book Addict). As usual, click on a cover to learn more about the book (link will automatically open in a new tab/window). What did you get? Have any of these?
For Review

What a nice variety! Those should keep you busy for a while!
ReplyDeleteI know -- many of these are 2013 releases so I have to keep telling myself to wait on picking them up!
DeleteThese look great! I have heard of some of them, and some of the authors, but have not read any of them yet.
ReplyDeleteAll of these authors are new to me so I'm v excited -- if you think I should read anyone sooner than later, let me know!
DeleteThe Donna Leon book looks very good. Love a good mystery. Jasmine Nights is on my shelf to read and I hope to do a book tour of the Orphan Master's Son. Your other books look like good reading as well.
ReplyDeleteJasmine Nights looks like fluffy fun -- I'm excited for it.
DeleteI'm really looking forward to A Working Theory of Love. I've also been meaning to read The Orphan Master's Son since it came out in hardcover. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so unique -- and I love the simple cover -- so striking.
DeleteJasmine Nights is a fun read - the story about women being spies in WW2 is good, but be warned - there's a fair amount of romance!
ReplyDeleteNow and then I don't mind romance -- it's infidelity that kills me and makes me all conservative -- but a hot bosom-heaving fling works for me usually! ;)
ReplyDeleteOooooo. [eyeing Seven Locks and Ashenden with jealousy] :) I was offered Jasmine Nights last week but had already bought a copy!
ReplyDeleteThe cover of Seven Locks is so stunning, I can't even take it! I'm really excited to dig into it!
DeleteJasmine Nights looks interesting...can't wait to see what you think of it!
ReplyDeleteIt looks sooooooooooo fun -- good summer-y fluff!
DeleteThe adam johnson novel is outstanding audra. I hope you get a chance to read it...i know your reading pile is gigantic. Xo
ReplyDeleteHeather, so glad to hear that -- I'm reviewing it in August and am so excited -- it looks great!
DeleteI can't get over what an amazing cover that is for Seven Locks, holy moley. That is some brilliant design.
ReplyDeleteI know -- it's absolutely my favorite cover of this lot -- perhaps the whole summer. Just gorgeous!
DeleteLike your selection so much. I just read my first Donna Leon and liked it very much.
ReplyDeleteI'm v excited for her book -- she's a wholly new-to-me author!
DeleteI wouldn't even know where to start with this list. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI just got THE ORPHAN MASTER'S SON, too.
ReplyDeleteYou seem to always get books with fantastic covers. Happy reading.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I have the Giles Kristian novel too. It looks good, but I have to hold off on reading it for a while.
