Mailbox Monday, Sept 24
This week's (early) Mailbox Monday (hosted in September at BookNAround) is a diverse and interesting collection of arrivals. The 2013 releases are starting to come in -- kind of crazy to think that the new year is approaching!

Great selection as usual! Interested to see that there is a new Claire Messud book- I enjoyed her last one from few years ago.
ReplyDeleteMessud is totally new to me -- but the premise really intrigued me so I'm delighted I got a copy. I think this one is a 2013 release so I'm not picking it up any time soon.
DeleteWe got a few of the same titles. I adore the cover of Shoggoths in Bloom.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it stunning?! I can't stop staring at it!
DeleteWow! I can officially say I'm suffering from mailbox envy :-) I can't wait to hear your thoughts on a number of the books you received. I hope you enjoy them all.
ReplyDeleteShoggoths in Bloom has such a great cover...lets hope the pages offer something just as great. Darcy Goes to War is one Anna has that I hope to borrow....and I got some of the others in your list too.
ReplyDeleteNew claire messud! Overjoyed! publication date april 2013? now you're just cruelly teasing us audra lol. Reading you every day with pleasure audra and also the wonderful comments by all the other avid readers. You have a consistently great site.
ReplyDeleteThe Claire Messud is one I'd want for sure. Enjoy them all Audra.
ReplyDeleteWow, great mailbox! So many of these look very interesting.
ReplyDeleteSome gorgeous sounding (and looking titles) there. I was just looking at The Woman Upstairs on Edelweiss the other day too, sounds intriguing. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSome wonderful books here. The Galle Road book piqued my interest as I knew it had to have a Sri Lankan setting. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteSo when I saw the cover for " Girl on the Cliff" I was like c'mon that's the same type of cover I'm seeing all over lately.. but heh, at least THIS ONE fits the title, LOL so I will let it slide.
ReplyDeleteYou always get a zillion good looking books. I am looking forward to your thoughts on Frozen, that looks like a fantastic premise but seemed to fall short according to other reviews. Here's Monday's post.
A great haul of reads, Frozen looks interesting.

ReplyDeleteFrozen sounds very fascinating. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteWow - so many books! I have Girl on the Cliff to read too - hope to get to it soon. I really liked Claire Messud's first book so I am interested to hear what you think of this one.
ReplyDeleteThe Girl on the Cliff! WANT. I loved The Orchid House so much, though I know a lot of people didn't. Hope you find me lots of wonderful new books to read.
ReplyDeleteI want THE GIRL ON THE CLIFF too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books.
