Mailbox Monday, Oct 15
My Mailbox Monday for this week is another lovely melange of titles -- more 2013 releases, so I'll be sitting on my hands for a bit. To learn more about any book, click the cover and it should open in a new tab/window.
I'm thrilled to say I'm going to be hosting Mailbox Monday in February 2013!! So excited -- I feel wicked famous/awesome/fancy.
What did you get this week?

Dying to read the new Louise Edreich!!
ReplyDeleteShockingly, it'll be my first time reading her! I'm super excited.
DeleteThe World War One book looks fantastic. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI concur with you on that one.
DeleteSo many good books! The Girl Who Fell to Earth looks very appealing to me since it's a memoir.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have some great reading ahead of you, Audra. I had no idea there was a new Thursday Next book out. I'll be curious for your thoughts on the Anne Lyle book as I have the first one (I think it's called The Alchemist of Souls) in the series on my shelf waiting to be read -- have you read that one yet ?
ReplyDeleteThe mapmaker's war interests me as well.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of The Mapmaker's War and am intrigued by the Yoko Ogawa title after enjoying The Housekeeper and the Professor. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI like all your books specially the Edreich one.
ReplyDeleteOh, Jasper Fforde. ♥ When I first discovered him I wasn't exactly a fan. I just couldn't get his sense of humor - and I'm a HUGE fan of quirk. I set aside the book and a year or two later I was in the middle of a bad reading slump. I decided to give Fforde another shot and fell in love.
ReplyDeleteI studied military history, though my focus was on the Civil War. Lately I've been wanting to learn more about the world wars. I started with WWII since the bookshop where I work has far more on that war than WWI, and now I've been looking for a good book on WWI. I'll keep an eye out for that one!
Ooh, I came across Revenge yesterday on netgalley and it sounded very interesting!
Good variety of genres! Loving the cover of the Lyle, the overall subject is obvious because of it (and awesome!)
ReplyDeleteOh, all of these looks so different, and fun! I can't wait for you to try some of them and let us know what your reactions are. I just love seeing these mailbox Monday posts!
ReplyDeleteRevenge looks good. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite cover of your pretty haul this week? The Girl Who Fell to Earth. Of course, I don't really read memoirs, but, whatever.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing what you think of the Thursday Next books. They're so kooky!
