Mailbox Monday, Dec 3

Countdown now to the winter holidays -- I've got so much shopping still to do! It snowed a little yesterday and it is wicked, bitter, icy cold here in Boston. (Sadness!) 1. Most of your titles are new to me but I'm intrigued by several of them - American Lady and The Horror of Love. I hope they're fabulous!

  3. Great mailbox once again, Audra! I bought Malice of Fortune a few weeks back so am looking forward to your thoughts on it (you'll likely get to it before I do) and I am also reviewing Spirit of Lost Angels.

I hope you enjoy all your new books.

  4. Ooh, Corporeality has really caught my interest. Perfect for my Short Story Summer Challenge. The cover art is very cool too.

  5. I've not heard of any of these! A first! Well, not really. I have been so busy with work lately that I haven't been able to browse for books like I normally do.

I got a couple of books in the mail: This Cake if for the Party and The Tiny Book of Stories, Volume 2.

  9. A lot of mystery/thriller-looking titles! You read so much and so quickly!

  10. Let me warn you about THE MALICE OF FORTUNE: it's TERRIBLE. I hated that book, and you probably will, too. Good luck with it.

  11. Bahaha, you just said "wicked cold." You're such a surfer dude. Or not. :-p

Paradise Man: He does not look like paradise to me.
The Thirteenth Child: AHHHHHHH!!! This cover horrifies me. *scrolls*
Wm & H'ry: Oooh, I bet you can learn a lot from this. :)
The Horror of Love: I've always wanted to read Nancy Mitford, and this is about Nancy Mitford. Good story, right? Also, this cover is surprisingly creepy, but not as creepy as that doll hand up there.
Resurrectionist: "First I kills 'em, then I brings 'em back. Teehee!"
Spirit of Lost Angels: I didn't realize angels were so directionally challenged. You'd think God would help an angel out. Apparently not. Still being tested even in Heaven.
Corporeality: I am most interested in this one. That cover is so weird!
The House at Belle Fontaine: Yup, that's a house.
The Princess of Egypt Must Die: That cover is a HOT MESS.
The Birth House: Oh, AnimeJune liked this. If you do too, I'm going to need to read it, much as I prefer to avoid books about birthing and/or babies.

  15. Wicked cold in Boston?! We're experiencing a heatwave down in D.C.! When I ran out at lunch, my car informed me it was a balmy 73 degrees. And I'm in long sleeves, like a dummy, having not checked the weather this morning. Gah!

Also, your books look great. Haha! :)

  16. Lots of lovelies that will be competing for your attention this month! Great haul Audra! I'm sorry for my lack of commenting last week. I was out of town. We had a death in the family and I had to fly away quickly. I am back now, though!
