Mailbox Monday, July 22

Mailbox Monday is hosted in July at Tasha @ Book Obsessed and there's another awesome few weeks of arrivals! The eye candy, oh, the pretties!

To learn about a book, click on the cover -- it'll open to it's GoodReads page in a new window.

What did you get this week? Interested in any of these?

  1. Wow! Once again, your mailbox is awesome! I have a couple of your books on my shelf already (The Cuckoo's Calling and Citadel) but they all sound sooo good.

  3. Nice to see a new novel by david leavitt coming audra. He is a great writer and i had no idea a new novel was coming! as an aside: i noted that some people have referred to sarah waters and katie forsyth as writing "lesbian fiction" which is ok but i wonder if we cant just say they are literary writers so as not to limit their audience? I happen to be straight but damn i love a good story well told. Thanks for listening all, heather curran

  5. So many books relating back to classic novels this week! I also got Havisham in the mail recently and can't wait to begin it, especially since I read Great Expectations for an English class last semester.

  7. Your mailboxes are always so much fun to peek into :)I've added 6 of these to my WishList this week :) I'm interested to see what others think of The Cuckoo's Calling; just from the synopsis, it's not one I would normally be interested in.

  8. Holy cow! I have to come back and check out some of these titles in more detail. Love those roaring twenties covers on Dollface and The Impersonators. Thanks for sharing your goodies!

  10. Wow, what a week! Dollface was featured at the Book Group Speed Dating. It's not a book I would have normally picked up but the woman who pitched it sold me on it.

  15. I am curious about Havisham. She did make an impression on me in HS when we read Great Expectations! Enjoy all of your books.

  16. You got The Cuckoo's Calling for review? How lucky are you! :) Looking forward to your post (I'd say review but I'm starting to rhyme). The Havisham book as well, I was hovering around it in the shop, haven't read enough reviews of it.

  17. ALL the pretties! I cannot wait to read Havisham. And I have The Perfume Collector waiting for me.

  18. Longbourn sounds like one I'd enjoy but so do a lot of the books in this post!

  19. Kate Mosse has a new book out? I definitely need to pick it up! My mom absolutely loved her first two, so part of me feels like I owe it to her memory to continue on with the series for her.

  20. And actually I see that Citadel isn't actually new, but was published last year. But without my mom to tell me it was out, I had no idea. Still... It's one I want to read.

  21. Can I just say how jealous I am of your beautiful, historical mailbox? I have a few of these, but there are a couple I am absolutely lusting over (I'm looking at you Longbourn/My Life in Middlemarch). I've been looking forward to The Cartographer of No Man's Land for SO long now, I can't wait to crack that one open!

  22. I've read Labyrinth and own the second book, so I guess I'm going to have to get The Citadel too.
