Read-a-Thon: I'm In!

For those unfamiliar, basically, one reads for 24 hours. (!!) It's a decadence I can't imagine, and I'm dying to, well, go back to bed and get started!
The image is of my tentative TBR -- mostly books from the review queue, but we'll see what catches my fancy. I've got about twice that amount of e-books which I won't list.
To get started, here's a questionnaire participants are encouraged to share:
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
Cambridge, Massachusetts!
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
I am over-the-moon giddy excited for Nicola Griffith's Hild. I adore Griffith's novels although most of them have been contemporary or futuristic/speculative. I know she's been working on Hild for years and as a hist fic addict, I can't wait.
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
Coffee. Does that count as a snack? Then the box of baked goods my wife got me from the Danish Pastry House as a good luck treat!
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
I'm in my early 30s, I work for a non-profit, I've got three cats and a pretty amazing wife. I'm a beginner knitter who is knitting a blanket for my wife inspired by her favorite book, Moby-Dick. (I'm very lucky I married a passionate reader!)
Good luck!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm unofficially participating. Fiance is working all day, I'm being lazy, and I have a book review due Tuesday. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteLook at that stack--holy cow! Hope you're having a great readathon so far. Eye of the #TeamTiger!
