Wordless Wednesday, March 30

A Wordless Wednesday...and as with all these memes, I'm breaking the rules, and offering some words today.

Some time ago, it turns out I lost my domain, and it was being held hostage for about $3000. Grrr! I finally took the plunge and registered a new domain,, which I hope won't confuse things too much. (hopehope)

I lost my blog roll in the process of adopting this new domain (it unlinked from my blogspot blogroll) so if you don't see your blog listed in one of the two blog columns, would you mind leaving a comment with a link? I'm trying to get back into my commenting routine, and I am heartbroken at missing anyone!

Just started Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel and Clarina Nichols: Frontier Crusader for Women's Rights by Diane Eickhoff. And my new joy has been my milk frother, a cheap splurge that has stopped me from spending an excessive amount of money on fancy coffees from the fancy coffee shops by my work.

Tell me about a joy today, your Wordless Wednesday, current read, or anything else!

  1. Oh, how frustrating! This post showed up in my feed so I think all is well with the new domain. It angers me that someone would do that with someone else's domain. I hope no one buys it.

    1. I'm so mad -- esp because I had set up autorenewal of the domain but it didn't happen. Double grr! I do hope no one buys it, too -- am not in a place to fend off a copycat! :( Thanks for popping by -- hope you're having a good Wednesday!

  2. The post showed up in my blog reader too, so I think you've made the transition well. Congrats!

I'm reading The ONE Thing by Gary Keller, although I think in a way I'm reading it too late--after seven months of soul-searching last year, I decided that fiction was my ONE thing (yes it has to be in caps), possibly to the exclusion of blogging, although I'll spend some more time thinking about that after the move.

I'm also close to finishing Mortal Arts by Anna Lee Huber, who's a friend of mine and also a "comp"--she also writes mysteries with a romantic arc set in the 19th century. I'm curious as to how many books she can spin out the romance over, because that's always tricky as readers want the HEA!

  3. Aw booooo to losing your domain! This post showed up in my blogreader with no problems, for what that's worth. :)

  4. So sorry, Audra! I too hope that nobody buys it. Looking forward to going for a walk today in the sunshine, so there's a small joy for you :)

  5. It also popped up in my reader, so yay!

  6. It popped up in my email so I won't miss out on any posts, yay!!! That is such crap, though. People can be so mean!!

  7. I still have your posts coming to my email. I cannot believe someone would hold it hostage for $3000....ridiculous. I'm glad that you got your blog changed over though. I'm not sure if is on your blog roll, but I'm glad you posted this. I have to renew my domain and I'm doing it for more than one year this time.

  8. $3000? Crazy! I never took the domain plunge, and that story makes me glad. Also glad you were able to transition to a new space relatively easily.
